This breed is very intelligent, easy to train, but also can be stubborn and needs a pack leader or could end up being the boss of you. They are very versitable dogs and can go in many directions from family pets, guard dog and personal protector , working dog for farms or hunting wild game. We have seen many these dogs go off to be service dogs as well. They are so human like and will make you laugh. They can drool , especially in hot weather and have minimal shedding. They prefer to be by your side any where you go. Our Canes are so playful and are even delicate with there toys. Females tend to be more energetic while males tend to be more lazy. This breed needs lots of socialization with human and other dogs and has a natural aloofness around strangers.
