Why Goldens Do That: A Collection Of Curious Golden Retriever Behaviors - $9.22
The book is cute but not very informative. It did not give me any new answers about Goldens quirks like why they make sneezing sounds every morning. I have 2 goldens and they both do the same thing. It is not a worthwhile book.
| How to Train Your Golden Retriever (Tr-101) - $5.81
Easy to read book with lots of color pictures of goldens in every day life. Well organized. Helpful hints in blue boxes that catch your attention. Goldens are smart dogs who can easily think of things to do when bored; book has helpful information on counteracting this problem. Would recommend this book as a good first book for anyone interested in goldens.

This is not a great informative book, however, it does have some beautiful, whimsical and cute photographs of Golden Retreivers. Occassionally, it also is thought provoking in a sentimental or philosophical sense. Worth having on your coffee table or in your reception area.

| In Praise of Goldens: Celebrating the World's Greatest Dog - $16.50
With their loveable looks, gentle demeanor, and eagerness to please, golden retrievers are among the world’s most charming dogs. Easily trained, loyal, and friendly almost to a fault, they are pets and companions beyond compare, as easygoing as they are alert to every possibility for a frolic. Gifted retrievers (of course!) and trackers, they are as likely to distinguish themselves on the obedience course or in the show ring as in the field or family room. In this delightful book, all that is golden gets its due, as writers who are as keen about their dogs as they are about their craft tell stories about golden retrievers at their most winsome, mischievous, touching, brave, and, always, memorable. Celebrated storytellers such as James Herriot, Dean Koontz, Bill Tarrant, and Roger Welsch tell shaggy dog tales that give ample, endlessly entertaining evidence of why the golden retriever is probably the world’s most beloved pet. Accompanied by irresistible photographs, their stories of spirited puppies and tireless retrievers and boon companions constitute a movingâ??and fittingâ??tribute to a dog that is truly mankind’s best friend.
