A New Owner's Guide to Staffordshire Bull TerriersA New Owner's Guide to Staffordshire Bull Terriers - $9.44

This book is decent for people new to dogs in general. I'd hoped to find more info specific to staffords especially in training and dealing with common stafford problems like chewing and skin problems. There are some things inside I didn't know, so I'd still say it was worth the price.

The Complete Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Book of the Breed)The Complete Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Book of the Breed) - $13.99

Overall the very best book I've come across about the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The pictures are great, lots of color, plenty of variety. Historical perspective is very detailed, going back to the ancient fighting dogs of Rome, but it ties in very nicely with the development of this great breed. Also, lots of great segments regarding temperament, breed disposition and characteristics. Way too much text about breeding/whelping/kenneling and general care which is not really specific to our breed here. I think a book about a breed as special as Staffs should not waste any text whatsoever with general care which is information that can be obtained through any dog book. As mentioned earlier, the pictures are really nice. In fact, the picture on the front cover looks exactly like my own pet female, Molly! All in all, I really enjoy this book and feel it provides the most accurate and insightfull description of the breed that I've come across thus far.

STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER (Pet Owner's Guide Series)STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER (Pet Owner's Guide Series) - $5.45

This was the first book purchased on my dog, I thought it was pretty good (but very basic), at covering topics, but there is better books on staffys out there!

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Champions, 1995-2002Staffordshire Bull Terrier Champions, 1995-2002 - $42.95

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Book of the Breed)The Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Book of the Breed) - $18.96

Very disappointing book. While it has great photos of Staffies...some of which look very much like my Staffie Sheba...Dr. Fleig has a very superficial grasp of the history of the breed in question, and an astonishing ignorance of related breeds, especially the Pit Bull. Perhaps he should stick to German breeds, and leave the British breeds to someone else.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Terra-Nova Series)The Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Terra-Nova Series) - $11.97

Gentle and loving, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a wonderful family dog. This title features an extensive training chapter that will help him become a well-mannered companion and assist his family in managing common problem behaviors that may arise.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers: An Owner's CompanionStaffordshire Bull Terriers: An Owner's Companion - $30.39

Staffordshire Bull Terriers is the only book a Staffordshire owner will need. After a detailed look at the dog's history and anatomy, the authors go on to discuss conformation, characteristics, and the British and American Breed Standards. There are chapters on breeding, showing, and judging, and advice on the training and care of the dog. There is also advice on buying and rearing puppies, and a useful section on disease, ailments, and first aid.
