This book is indispensible for the novice shar-pei owner. Not only is it very informative, but it is also attractively illustrated with lots of colour photographs. It is very much aimed at the first time owner, with a thoughtful "My Shar-Pei" section at the back with a space for a photo of your own dog and it's details. From the history of the shar-pei to the excellent way the breed standard is illustrated, there is much to recommend this book. It also covers all aspects of dog care, from training, health care, routine care etc... as well as a small section on homoeopathy. This book is of the highest quality, from it's glossy cover to the excellent information it contains. A must buy not only for the first time shar-pei owner, but for the more experienced in the breed who, like me, just like to have another glossy shar-pei book to add to their collection!
