Miss Siggy Speaks - $12.95 Miss Sigmund is the Dear Abby of the dog world! She is a Goldendoodle dog psychologist who responds to letters for advice from children at an elementary school. She lives by two mottos, the golden-doodle rule and kindness matters . These mottos are themed throughout her responses. Her replies are short, to the point, no bones about it silly, sweet and compassionate. Miss Sigmund is a therapy dog who works daily at the elementary school where I am the school social worker. Her letters are posted for students to read. This school-based program is a big hit! My students eat this up. I can reach them and provide advice through the non-judgmental voice of a pooch. It is a wonderful fun way to advise and help children. Kids love the stories because the problems are real for them and they relate to dogs as if they are their peers. Parents and teachers will love the simple, practical and funny way that Miss Sigmund replies. The book is full of photos of Miss Sigmund from puppy-hood until she is grown. The dog, Miss Sigmund, is named after Dr. Freud... the first psychotherapist and one of the first dogs in school! As a school social worker I bring her to the elementary school where I work every day. Within a year Miss Sigmund received more press than most humans do in a lifetime.
