Pug (Pet love) - $22.70
A clenched fist…a Mamoset monkey…a grumbling expression all describe the Pug’s famous face. Regardless of how you translate his name, the Pug is one of China’s most famous companion dogs, renowned today for his charm, compact size and happy, lively disposition. "Multum in parvo," the Pug’s age-old maxim, perfectly describes this larger than life compact dog: "a lot in a small package." The Pug offers new owners unwavering devotion, child-like fun and super-canine intelligence, a welcome addition to any dog-loving home. This book provides the much-needed factual information about Pugs and their history, characteristics and standard, as well as puppy selection, feeding, training, preventative health care and behavior of the breed. The new owner will welcome the author’s experience and advice about puppy-proofing the home, housebreaking and preventing puppy problems. In addition to an authoritative, comprehensive text, this book presents over 135 photographs in full color, which prove to be as informative as they are attractive.
| Pugs, 2nd edition - $9.99
My 12 year old granddaughter and her 11 year old cousin can be found with their noses glued inside this very informative book. She even repeats information she garnered from this book to anyone who will stand still long enough to hear descriptions of pug's abilities, likes, dislikes, what they absolutely can not be trained to do plus many glowing reports of what they can and do allow themselves to be trained to do. Before my granddaughter rescued her pug I would never have recommended adding a pug to any family. Reading this book has allayed a lot of my fears. Having had the pug for more than a year has allayed the rest of my fears. I highly recommend this book to any family who are strong enough to take the plunge and add a pug as one of their family members. I am sure they will love their pug dearly for many years to come.

About the Author What was born from a family love of pugs has grown into re-writing historical tales, fables, and nursery rhymes with a new "puggy" twist. Adapting these timeless stories has become a hobby for the Darr-Tinkle family and turned into the creation of many pug children's books. They are suitable for any child or pug lover. Lauren L. Darr has been 'owned' by pugs since her first family pug rescue of White Pines Tuttie when she was just six years old. Tuttie was a pug left at the vet after getting fixed because the breeder didn't need her in his puppy mill anymore. She had never been out of a cage or even uttered a bark. Tuttie was the joy of Lauren's life until she left this world at the age of 15 (human years, of course!). Now, Inky & Sarge (brother and sister) and Benji are the pugs of the house. Inky & Sarge have been the featured mascots for Lauren's marketing company, LOI International since 2004. They were rescued from Ohio Pug Rescue in 2001. Benji has slowly started creeping into the marketing materials since he was rescued in 2006. He came from Chicago as the owner was unable to take care of him anymore.
