The height of the male dog is 14.5 to 15.5 inches and the female from 13.5 to 14.5 inches at the shoulder . The coat of the American Cocker Spaniel is silky, flat or slightly wavy, but not excessively curly. The American Cocker Spaniel can come in a variety of solid colors including back, tan and red. Part-solid colors must include white as one of the solid colors.
