 | | | General Information | The American Water Spaniel origins can be traced to the Fox and Wolf River valleys of Wisconsin, where it was bred as a hunting dog adept upon both land and water. There these dogs performed the dual tasks of flushing and retrieving game.
A small to medium sized dog thety stand at 15 to 18 inches in height, and sport a brown/chocolate coat.
