| Bichon Frise |
|---|
 | | | General Information | The Bichon Frise originate in Spain and were bred as lap dogs, and adopted by French royalty.
Bichons have soft, thick undercoats and a springy, curly outercoat. Most dogs are almost completely white, and the AKC requires that show dogs be at least 90% white. Both males and females measure 9-12 inches at the withers.
The Bichon Frise is bred as a companion dog and is usually well behaved, playful and affectionate. It is important to reinforce these traits when the Bichon is still a puppy with appropriate training. On the flip side their coats do require regular brushing and as companion dogs they require time and affection from the owner.Click here for a list of Bichon Frise puppies for sale and adoption!
