 |  | | General Information | The Borzoi was developed in Russia as a "sight hound. It is similar in stature to the Greyhound, but possesses much more hair.
The male Borzoi should stand at least 28 inches at the withers, while the female should be no shorter than 26". On the body, the hair is of medium length and can be either flat or wavy. The hair is shorter on the head and legs. The coat can be any color.
The Borzoi is quite a large dog and does require plenty of exercise, so it does require a large yard. The Borzoi is a intelligent, independent and quiet dog breed - it rarely barks.
