I have a phenomenal young male here at my kennel that just keeps impressing me more and more everyday and I am not easy to impress. He has bred six bitches so far from many different bloodlines and everytime he outdoes himself. This dog can cross with any bloodline and still produce beautiful,huge headed,heavy boned,and freakishly muscular pits that look even better than he does!! He is both UKC and ADBA registered his name is "PR" OBA Straight Razor he is a son of "PR" Bang's Boss Man of BLK(who has won about every show there is to win in the bulldog world). His mother is J's Gottiline Angel one of the most beautiful and best producing females I've ever seen. Razor is a grandson of the great Razor's Edge Ohoopee Rivers Ozone on top,and a grandsonson of Gottyline's Raider on the bottom side. Just to name a few dogs in his THREE GENERATION pedigree we have Ohooppe Rivers Mzbully,Ace's high Mystique,Razor's Edge Razzel Dazzel,Razor's Edge Purple Rose of Cairo 2x,Monster Jojola, and Gottiline's 21 Blackjack just to name a few. If you go a little further back you see Notoroius Juan Gotty 11x's in Razor's six gen pedigree. Its no wonder he's producing like he is just look at all the champion blood running through his veins. I want to start off by saying we have never done this before and neither of us really know anything about this, so please excuse the ignorance! lol! But my husband and I are interested in possibly studding our APBT, Brooklyn. He is pure bred and we will have his papers soon, hopefully.... When we first bought him from the breeder it took longer than expected to get his papers, so we just kind of forgot about it. I know to most people that probably sounds stupid, but we just wanted a companion dog, so we didn't really care about all of that anyway. We were going to rescue originally, but after doing extensive research on different breeds, to figure out what breed was best for us, our family and our home, we just had to get a well bred APBT. The breed fits all of our wants and needs perfectly, and we wanted to make sure we had a well bred dog that would fit the breed standards, because that's what we needed/ wanted in our new family companion. That is the ONLY reason we bought from a reputable breeder instead of rescuing.... Now, I don't know much about bloodlines because as I already said, that has never been important to us, but I am told by our breeder that Brooklyn has a champion bloodline. His dam is Jeep, she's solid red, and absolutely gorgeous! And his sire is Razors Edge, he is almost solid blue with some white on his chest and face, and he is breathtaking! One of the main reasons we ended up buying Brooklyn was because of his dam and sire's temperaments and personalities. They fit the APBT breed standard to a T!... Again, I don't really know how this works, but I guess I should tell you a bit about Brooklyn. We got him when he was 8 weeks, and now that he is almost 2 years old we have watched him grow and mature into an all around wonderful dog! It's amazing how much he is like his parents. He is extremely intelligent. It took less than 3 weeks to almost completely train him! I was amazed to say the least. He is very obedient, super friendly, even with other dogs and cats, he absolutely LOVES children, he's as healthy as he can be and in my humble opinion, he is the most handsome dog on earth! lol! :p It's funny because I never really liked brindles, my husband and I both wanted a blue or a red, but we ended up picking Brooklyn over a red and white male and a black and white female. We just thought it would be more unique to own a brindle, because even though they aren't nessecarly rare (though neither are blues and reds), everyone we know that owns one of the "pit bull" breeds, own blue, red or black. But the fact that his sire is blue and his dam is red, I'm assuming that he could produce blue or red pups, depending on the dam of course.... Anyway, we figured it would be interesting to get involved in all of this, once we get Brooklyn's papers in of course. So, if anyone thinks they might be interested, or if anyone has any questions or even advice, please message us!.... Thanks! :).... Oh, also, I am going to post a few pictures now, but we are going to take better, more recent pictures later today and I'll post them asap. He is a bit thicker now than he was in these pictures, and he has nicer muscle definition. Last time he was weighed he was about 50 pounds, but he has definitely gotten heavier. He's most likely around 55-60 pounds now. I'll get his weight and measurements later as well. |
