Important Labrador Information When purchasing Labrador puppies please be careful - not everone can be trusted. Whenever possible it is better to purchase a puppy from a local breeder. Some breeders will not ship their dogs. If the puppies you want are not listed for sale here, you can always check our Labrador breeder directory for unpcoming litters. (Link at top of page) Lab pups need a good home and responsible owners who will cater to their health and provide them with plenty of exercise. Remember Puppies grow into adult Labrador Retrievers! The cost of a lab puppy is only the initial investment. Vet visits can sometimes be costly,
but not optional. If you are questioning whether you can afford a pet, please consider that the average vet bill for a series of new lab pup shots in the first year averages about $300 and $100 for each following year. Food for that lab puppy will cost you at least another $150 per year minimum. We encourage new lab pup owners to give their maturing lab pup a fenced in yard to frolic in. Also, consider whether you have the time and patience to invest in a lab pup before your purchase, they are very social animals and want to be around people. These may seem like trivial issues, however, we advise you to think carefully before making your Lab puppy purchase. Recognized By: AKC: Sporting Dogs CKC: Sporting Dogs UKC: Gun Dogs
