I have had mini Dachshunds for 28-Years and been a small Breeder for 21-years, a 4-H Dog Leader, Shown in AKC Dog Shows, and an Obedience Dog Trainer. My daughter recently purshased her first male Dachshund of her own to breed to her one female, and to my two girls one day. Well after just a few months we realized that "Tucker" is not going to be a "true to size" miniature Dachshund! He reached the maximum size at 5-months of age! Our girls are very small and it would not be good to breed him to them or to any other "miniature Dachshund in order to abide by the Breed Standards of the American Kennel Club. We waited till he turned 6-months of age and then had him Neutered last week! Tucker is a Black & Cream Longhair and has an Outstanding Coat and Personality! He is potty-training very well, rides in the car great, walks on a Leash perfectly, and is a VERY soft and gentle, non-agressive type doggie! He has completed all his puppy shots, Rabies, and been on a good de-worming program. As much as we hate to part with this loving boy, we can only have a few dogs and we need a another male.
