Both Rin Tin Tin style short coats as well as bear cub long coats occasionally available!

Our focus is on family companions, NOT show or working dogs. We are HOBBY BREEDERS ONLY, not a large scale kennel nor a puppy producer and strive for the ideal, calm family shepherd. Pioneer German Shepherds breeds sweet-tempered short and long coat long haired German Shepherd Dogs that are oversized with a laidback temperament. They can also be considered old fashioned or old style German Shepherds due to their lack of angulation in the hindquarters. Our dogs would be much more reminiscent of Rin Tin Tin versus todays show dogs. Parents may have had the following testing done: hip x-rays (including OFA and/or Pennhipped), OFA elbows, TLI for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, degenerative myelopathy, AKC DNA.

Please NOTE, our dogs can be larger to much larger than the average German Shepherd Dog. Males can range from 28-32+ inches at the shoulder, 100-140+ pounds. Females can range from 26-28+ inches at the shoulder, 85-110+ pounds. Puppies are whelped indoors and raised underfoot in our home with lots of love, occasionally available to select companion homes. Puppies come with a 2 year guarantee which does not require a pup to be returned, microchipped, first shots, vet checkup, dewormed, as well as registration papers upon proof of spay/neuter as per our contract.

We are located in central Pennsylvania about 8 miles north of Gettysburg.
