Long Run Samoyeds is located in beautiful Summerville, OR. Shasta and Sayan are my first Samoyeds and the foundation stock of Long Run Samoyeds. ?My dream for as long as I can remember has been to have a dog of my own and "do good with it." When I was little I really didn't care what it was I was doing, as long as it was with a dog. Once my dream of getting a dog started to come true, I searched and searched and read and read and learned everything I possibly could about every different breed of dog that I had ever considered owning. Then I found them, the perfect dog, the Samoyed. I stumbled upon the breed in one of my books about dog breeds and when I began to research them more, I knew they were perfect for me. After that I took my time, visited Samoyeds, watched them at shows, and searched for my perfect puppy. I was VERY picky in my search, the parents had to be champions, the parents had to have experience herding, doing agility, and mushing, and the parents had to have great personalities. Then I found the perfect litter! The parents had done it all! And that is where I got Shasta, my first Samoyed. SY came along only 9 months later and was welcomed into the small Long Run family both because of his parents excellent personalities, and their wonderful show qualities. Update: Long Run Samoyeds is expecting our first litter! The mother-to-be is my girl, Shasta, "CH Shasta of Jobs Peak CGC." The father is another breeder's boy, JJ, "CH Firecloud's I'm Not Your Average Joe." Shasta is a phenomenal family dog and is also a great working dog and successful in the show ring. She has OFA Excellent hips and a clear heart. Her eye clearances are up-to-date and clear. JJ also has all of his health clearances: good hips, clear eyes, and a clear echo on his heart. JJ is a goofball and will light up a room! He loves to make you laugh and he passes that trait on to his children :) I am expecting great things from this litter. I am confidant this breeding will produce show quality puppies that will excel in the show ring. I also believe these pups will have the correct structure and attributes to be phenomenal working and/or performance dogs. Most of all, I know these puppies will possess the Samoyed's wonderful personality and temperament, making them great family member and pets!
