Finish Forward Dogs is a dog training and event studio located in Southern Maine. Services include group classes, private training, behavior consults, adoption counseling, puppy kindergarten, companion dog classes, Canine Good Citizen/Therapy Dog prep, Obedience for pit bulls and bully breeds, breed handling (conformation), competition and rally obedience, agility foundations, scentwork, weight pull, canine musical freestyle and much more. Our training center is approximately 4,000 square feet, clear-span and is equipped with 100% recycled rubber flooring. At Finish Forward Dogs, our approach to dog training is based on the science of learning theory and the biological basis of animal behavior. The goal of our Studio is to provide dog owners with a wealth of quality, professional training services and opportunities in a safe, supportive atmosphere. Our hope is that all dog owners will fully realize their dog's potential while truly enjoying the process. Our dog-friendly methods are proven to promote learning, improve communication and foster mutual respect between dog and owner. Through the use of humane, reward-based training techniques and a healthy understanding of learning and behavior, it does become possible to produce lasting results.
